Welcome to Les Voyelles.
The perfect place to relax, unwind, explore and enjoy. Your new favourite stay starts here.

Situated in the beautiful Dordogne, five kilometres from the pretty market town of Lalinde, and only half an hours drive from Bergerac airport, you will find
Les Voyelles a quiet retreat exclusively for adults.

We have two fully furnished cottages available for booking, each with a private outdoor space and use of a shared swimming pool.

Cawsand Cottage

Menabilly Cottage

Both cottages are beautifully furnished to the highest standard and come with fully equipped kitchens, including a  dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, oven, induction hob and microwave.

Each cottage also has a private sunny terrace equipped with patio furniture, gas bbq and awning giving some shade from the sun on those really hot days.

There is a private shared heated swimming pool for guests with large terrace and undercover seating area and views over the garden and fields beyond.

Guests can wander in the six acre garden and enjoy the wildlife - our resident little owl known as Olly Murs can often be seen and very much heard, swooping down and chasing our two cats Daisy and Poppy. Depending on the time of year you may even be lucky enough to see the Kestrels nesting in our nesting box and raising their young.

Lalinde and the surrounding area

Lalinde is situated on the Dordogne river about 20km east of Bergerac, and is an English bastide town founded in 1261.

There is a market every Thursday morning filled with fresh local produce. Market days are always a very social occasion, there are plenty of places to enjoy a coffee or a meal and a glass of wine.

Lalinde has the Dordogne river on one side and a pretty canal on the other. The canal was built over 150 years ago and runs between Mauzac and Tulieres. The canal is a great place for walking, cycling and fishing.

Lalinde railway station has connections to Bordeaux, Bergerac, St Emillion, and Sarlat-la-Caneda.

Things to do

Markets

There are markets on locally almost every day of the week and one to consider is the famous market of Issigeac which takes place every Sunday morning and in the summer season occupies a large part of the town.

Marché nocturne

For summer evenings the many night markets in the towns and small hamlets offer a variety of food and wine for you to enjoy and music to dance away the evening until midnight.

Vineyards

There is an abundance of vineyards in the local area offering wine tastings, full appreciation days and tours.

Château

There are many chateaux in the Périgord to visit including:

Château de Beynac - one of the most famous and well preserved in the region, Château Milandes - demure de Josephine Baker, and Château de Castelnaud - one of the most beautiful in the region.

Canoeing

Limeuil not too far away where the two rivers - the Dordogne and the Vezere meet - is classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France.

From here you can hire canoes and enjoy the river beach for a swim.

Enjoy your stay.
